Slicing Tips

Tip #1:

For fruit pies, ensure pie is at room temperature. Cut the top and bottom crust with a non-serrated knife (starting at center). Support the crimp under the pie tin lip and cut the crimp. Go back over the first cut and cut through the heel.

Tip #2:

For cream pies, cut while frozen. Dip your knife in hot water, wipe dry and cut start at the center. Repeat.

Tip #3:

For even slices, simply flip over a plastic pie server and use as a guide.
